Why then do we try to put our fellow Americans in a box? Why do we seem to think that there is only one correct American Dream, and that if you're not living it you are not successful or happy? Without those who stood out and refused to accept what was being told of them, this wonderful country would not exist as it is right now. The United States became what it is today due to rebellion and differences. While it may not be the right treatment for everyone, for those who are passionate about music, it has the potential to be a life-changing experience. If you are struggling with depression, anxiety, or any other mental health condition, I encourage you to consider exploring music therapy as a treatment option. Through music therapy, I have been able to express emotions that I had long suppressed, process traumatic experiences, and find a sense of empowerment and hope. As someone who has struggled with depression and anxiety for years, I have found solace and support in the power of music. In my own experience, music therapy has been a lifeline.
By engaging with music in a therapeutic setting, individuals are able to connect with their deepest selves, tap into their inner resources, and develop a greater sense of self-awareness and self-esteem.
